Poor Vs. Broke: The Real Reason You Have No Money

Whats really the difference between the two? I mean aren't they essentially the same exact thing?

Well it's that kind of thinking my friend that is the reason why so many people are not living the life of their dreams...Hell you still may be one of them, just trying to make it by each month...

You see the difference between being broke, and being poor, really comes down to your mindset.

All being broke is, is just the physical state of having no money. You can still live a fantastic life with little or no money, plenty of people do it everyday. And the great thing is, money comes and goes, it has nothing to do with who you really are as a person.

Now being poor on the other hand, is an actual state of mind. Poor people take there current circumstances: no money, no home, no car, etc... and develop their life and mindset around that, until they actually become a poor person. Basically just giving up on life...

I can admit, I didn't always have money, but I never ever once saw my self as poor. No I knew I was destined for great things, and just cause I was broke, I was going to achieve my dreams no mater what!

So now that you know the difference of poor vs broke, which do you fall under?

Automated Marketing: Man Vs. Machine For The Fate Of Your Business...

If your anything like me, than you know that your time is more valuable than anything else. Your time is worth it's weight in gold!

Now since we're only given so many hours in a day, the last thing you or I want to do is spend 12 hours working on business all day, right?

So what do we do, we start outsourcing and finding automated marketing solutions that will take care of all the boring crap that we hate doing. I know for me personally I outsource about 90% of the stuff I hate doing, like writing articles, building backlinks, PPC management...

I'd much rather spend a good three hours a day focusing on the stuff I'm good at, than spend 12 hours trying to do everything I suck at. It's a no brainer!

But, just like the force, there is a good and bad side to these automated marketing systems...

And if you do so happen to venture down the wrong path, you could end up causing more harm than good to your business!

Now in my opinion, the good vs evil battle is more so of a, man vs. machine battle! And no, I'm not saying that skynet is gonna go ape-shit and start taking us all out right now! That's not for another couple years! Ha Ha just joking....or am I?

I'm referring to manual human marketing vs automated (Software, tools, etc...).

Now this is no set in stone theory of mine, but in my experience manual labor done by an actual human is 90% more effective than most programs are. I've had better backlinks built, better articles written, better campaigns managed, etc...when handled by an actual person.

And no, I'm not saying that all business marketing systems are bad, in fact I use plenty of software everyday in my business. I highly recommend any Incansoft products, along with the majority of keyword tools out there, are all amazing!

So you see there are exceptions to this rule, and a lot of the time software can be cheaper..Up Front! But what you really need to take into consideration, is the long term results, and what kind of issues you'll have if the program crashes, or doesn't deliver the results promised...

So in my opinion, let man win the automated marketing battle. It might cost you more up front, but you'll receive far superior results in the long run.

Split Testing Like Dr Jekyll And Mr Hyde

To be honest talking about split testing is, about as exciting as watching the grass grow, but as boring as it is, it's still a crucial step in optimizing your business.

In fact, I'll go as far to say, that if you're not testing everything about your business, then you're literally throwing money down the drain!

Now, I'm not gonna get all excel spreadsheet nerd on you, and go into all the infinite statistical anomalies there are with multivariate testing, simply because I don't want to...

I will how ever go over some of the main benefits there are, when you start incorporating A/B testing into your every day life!

1.) Conversions: Conversions, are really the golden ticket we're all after in business. Whether it's simply generating leads or making sales, conversions are what makes your business go round. Now how do you increase your conversions? with testing, testing, testing!

You can be like 99% of the other marketers out there who throw one landing page up and call it good, and accept whatever measly results you get....OR...

You can create another version of that same page, with one slight difference, rotate the two and see which one pulls more conversions! Then take the winning page, copy it, and create another page with another slight difference, etc... Now you keep rinsing and repeating this process all the time, always trying to beat your winning page.

And before you know it, you could go from a .05% conversion rate, to closing 5% of your traffic! And with a 5% conversion rate, you're sittin real pretty in any market friend

2.) Profit: Now as good as conversion are, you still have to see which marketing campaign is making you the most doubloons. And how do we figure this little equation out? If you don't know, then I'm going to slap you right in the face if and when I ever meet you...

Just because one campaign is pulling in more sales, doesn't mean your making more money off that one. So you need to split test different campaigns and see which one is making you the most money!

This is extremely important in all forms of marketing whether it be PPC, SEO, Media Buys, Social Media, Email Marketing, etc... You need to split test new landing pages everyday! Different colors, fonts, layouts, etc... each traffic source will convert better to different style, but without testing, you'll never find the winners from the losers.

So you see split testing is really boring to talk about, and that's why I kept this post short. But so few people actually do any testing whatsoever, that they're just shooting them selves in the foot. If you really want to take your business to the next level, and start making more money, then start testing right meow!

How To Make Money Blogging For Beginners

I know it seems like every blogger out there is coming out with some sort of overpriced ebook on "How To Make Money Blogging For Beginners", but I wanted to give my two cents, and clear up a lot of misconception.

First off, let me start by saying that running a successful blog is no joke. Don't fall for this five minutes a day crap, because anyone that says that is a damn liar.

If you want to run a successful blog, that will actually make you some money. it's gonna take a lot of consistent hard work on your part, to not only keep your weblog updated with constant fresh content...

But you need to actually write stuff that people will want to read. Because what good is it if you got a site filled with 50 pages of content but no one to read it? Useless, right? like shouting on deaf ears.

Now I'm not trying to discourage your dreams here, but only to prepare you for the hard work that's ahead. Now with that being sad, if all the elements in your blogging equation add up, we'll you'll be sitten real pretty my friend.

In fact I'd go as far to say that if you're a beginner to the whole online business scene, starting a blog would probably be the best route to go. Mainly because it's free, but also because you can earn a very respectable income if you got a hot site.

Hell some Pro-bloggers I know, earn well over 6-figures a year with their blog's, and with every new reader, their income gets bigger and bigger!

So what exactly does it take to get one of these bad boys off the ground and running?

1.) Interesting Content: This is really a no-brainer, but you'd be surprised how painfully boring some internet marketers are. People want exciting, interesting, even funny stuff, not a bunch of boring facts that sound like Ben Stein just wrote it

You need to know who your target audience is, and talk to that person through your writing. Make it conversational, but also relevant and full of the useful information that they're looking for.

2.) Loyal Readers: This is the 2nd obvious factor to this over simplified equation, but without any one reading your blog, you might as well talk to your self. If you write interesting enough content people will find it, and start soaking up every word you send there way. And if you get enough readers like 100k+, imagine the kind of power you'll have when you decide to cash in...? 6-figures maybe?

3.) Monetization: This is where it all comes together. If you get the first two elements right, you can literally make a full time income off your blog. You can sell adspace through banner ads, google adsense, or your own CPA offers. You can get paid to write reviews about an affiliate product, or someone's site. Or if you get tired of the blogging game, you could sell the site on Flippa, for a nice chunk of change.

And that's it! That's all there really is on how to make money blogging for beginners. Now there are a lot more advanced things to get into, about how to drive traffic, writing, etc... But these are the basics, you need to crawl before you can walk!

So go out, get on blogspot, wordpress, or even set up your own custom self-hosted blog, and just start writing! And before you know it, you'll be cashing in some big paydays as well!

Achieving Your Dreams, The Road To Success

Alright so the topic of achieving your dreams can sometimes be more of a personal subject, but I felt like talking about it...

So you will listen, or better yet, read what I have to say, and like it buddy!

Anyways, the reason I bring dreams / goals up, is because of all the extraordinary things that are happening in my life that I thought I'd share with you. A lot of amazing things that I set goals to achieve years ago, are now finally starting to come to fruition!

First off I'm finally making my voyage down to LA, to pursue my dream of acting full time. I mean this is something I've wanted to do since Jr. High school, and finally it's becoming a reality! All the hard work, and determination I put towards achieving this goal has finally paid off...

Now don't get me wrong, it was no easy task to accomplish, but like I told you before Patience and Persistence are the two guaranteed keys to success. Screw all the $10,000 life coach events, the ebooks, the over priced training courses...

None of those things will ever get you closer to your dreams like patience and persistence will, and you can hold me to that...FOREVER!

But besides those two key traits, focusing on my goals, and attracting that into my life everyday, is also the other reason why I'll soon be enjoying the warm sandy beaches of SoCal, taking auditions with the big studios, and ultimately living the life of my dreams!

So what are your dreams? Are you setting goals, and to-do lists to make those dreams come true? Are you focusing everyday on the things you really want, instead of the things you don't?

If you're not doing any of these things, then I really suggest you re-evaluate where your at in life. I mean really think about where you're going, because if it's not getting you any closer to achieving your dreams...Then you're on the wrong path my friend.

Fastest Way To Make Money Online Right Now?

One of the most frequent questions I get asked by brand new entrepreneurs is, "What's the fastest way to make money online right now?"

And I always have the same answer for them, time and time again...

And what is that answer, you might be wondering? Well, I'll get to it in a minute, but first I want to break down a few of the numerous ways you can make money online.

1.) Home Based Business: This is probably the most popular route that 90% of the people go with. I mean just look at how many different MLM and Direct Sales opportunities are out there. It seems like there's 5 new ones sprouting up every minute.

The good thing about these opportunities, is that they're relatively cheap to start up, usually a couple hundred up to a few grand. They have limitless earning potential, with many people earning high 6-figure incomes relatively quickly. And most important of all you can work from home, or really any where in the world as long as you have an internet connection, so a big F.U. to that morning commute!

2.) Affiliate Marketing: This is by far the 2nd most popular option. The simple reason being, is all you have to do is worry about selling other peoples products, or CPA offers. You don't have the stress of worrying about building your downline, or attending the lovely hotel meetings each week (Ugh almost puked thinking bout those horrible days)

Now the same as a home biz, your earning potential is virtually limitless, and you can easily work from anywhere in the world!

3.) Freelancing: Now this is a huge one that not too many people take advantage of. All business owners, including my self, know the value of time, and that if you want to grow your business you have to expand. Well I outsource a good 90% of the stuff in my biz I hate doing to freelancers who are better at it than I ever could be.

And the cool thing is, you can freelance any type of skills you have, whether it be copy writing, marketing, or even becoming a virtual assistant. I know many people who make a nice income as virtual assistants.

Now there is one more mainstream way of making quick money online, but I personally don't hold much value for it.

Filling out online surveys, offers etc... I don't like these because 99% of the time they're scams, and you could work your ass off and not make more than a couple bucks a day! Personally I rather work a minimum wage job scooping ice cream, that deal with that crap. So in my book, it's no bueano, amigo...

So that brings us back to the same question "What's the fastest way to make money online right now?"

Well it's simple, whichever way makes you the happiest, that your passionate about and you enjoy doing...thats the best way to make some serious cash on the internet.

I mean just do what you love, whether it be cars, horse riding, video games, golf, etc... Theres always a market of buyers for stuff like that, and if you give them what they want...

We'll lets just say you'll earn quite a few doubloons, matey..Hardy Har Har...

Without Personal Branding, Your Business Is Lost!

Now I know you may be thinking what the funk does personal branding have anything to do with my business? Well, a lot more than you know, actually...

You see, one of the lil know secrets I've come to know over the years is that, people do not give a crap about your business, products or comp plan...they could care less! The reason being, is because people don't buy into businesses, they buy into people...people being YOU.

I mean think about it, people always want to work with the best. The best contractor for their house, the best mechanic for their car, the best doctor when they're injured or sick...We are by nature, all bound to follow the leader.

So when you become an expert/authority in your market and become the leader that people want to follow, because you can show them how to acheive their dreams and goals... That's when everyone and their mum will start popping out of the wood works, begging to join your business.

But were getting ahead of ourselves here. you must run before you can crawl...No wait reverse that, crawl before you can run...

Before you become the next Mr Guru of the home biz world, you first need to work your way up there. Now the obvious things to do are constant education, training, marketing, and networking to get your name out there of course...But there's a whole other side to this ladder that your forgetting...

"Your Personal Brand"

Thats right, your brand is the absolute most import thing to develop if you truly want to join the ranks of the top 1%. It's absolutley imperative that you set yourself apart from the crowd, otherwise what makes you anymore special, than Joe Schmo in XYZ opportunity that's also trying to close your prospect?

So how does one set oneself apart from the crowd and control their brand?

Well I'm glad you asked that, because I'm going to give you two very important brand building strategy tips to do right now, right this moment, I don't care if it's 2am, get on this right away...because the more time you waste, could be a prospect or two passing you by for Joe Schmo!

1.) The Brand Called You: You need to write articles/create videos for these three keywords. Who is ___, ____ Review, and ____ Scam. Those are the top three keywords people use when doing their research on a person, product, place, service, etc... Just fill in the blanks with you name, and your good to go. Give people an honest review about you, don't over exaggerate or anything, just give people what they want to know, so they know your the person to get in business with.

Chances are 9 times out of 10, you'll rank first page with these very easily. So that means when people are checking you out, oh whats this? Joe Schmo review, hmm check it out, like what I see...I'm joining him! Boom easy as pie my friend.

2.) Socialize: You want to control the other 1st page listings with Social Media sites, and a personal blog. The social media should be a no brainer, Facebook, Twitter, And Youtube are apart of everyday life. And if you have your own profiles where people can see you on a more personal level and see what your all about, they'll emotionally connect with you better, and will be that much more likely to join your team.

You should, if not already, have your own blog. Not only are Blogs great for SEO value, but when you write quality content, and give a lot of value consistently, you'll start attracting a lot more people. People will spread your content all over the net, and before you know it, you'll have, one of the handful of authority sites on the net!

So you see, personal branding isn't really that hard to do. It just comes down to the simple fact of whether you'll do the work or not. But hey, if you don't feel like it, no worries, cause thats when your prospects find Joe Schmo (aka ME) and want to join me instead.

Brian Clark is probably one of the most well know bloggers out there. He successfully runs CopyBlogger.com along with many other internet marketing ventures. If you want to improve your copywriting skills, or even just need some tips on effective blogging, then copyblogger is the place to go.

Yaro Starak is one of the only Australian entrepreneurs I have ever seen, but the guy knows his stuff. He has been successful online since 98! He is also a great trainer and teaches people how to make a full time income from home, just by blogging! Check out his site at Entreprenuers-Journey.com

Yanik Silver is probably one of the most successful and well know internet marketers of all time. He is one of the top copywriters and the whole world, and has a successful lineup of products that have all proven to be winners. Home Based Business Opportunity Success...Finally!

All you need is the right information, and you can achieve anything...Because as you and I both know "Knowledge Is Power!"

Wonderful Wordpress Websites...

Well as the title implies, I absolutely love wordpress for building my websites...and so should you!

I mean it's really a no brainer, but for those of you who are still new to the online scene, I'll go over some very persuasive points that back up my views on word press greatness

1.) It's FREE To Use! That's right you can use wordpress for absolutley FREE my friend. No expensive software to buy like dream weaver or front page. You can either use the free hosted version, where you set up an account on Wordpress.com, or if you're really serious about building a kickass site/blog download the software from Wordpress.org, get your own hosting set up, buy your domain, and BAM, you got a fully functioning site in less than an hour!

2.) It's Highly Customizable! There are literally thousands of ways to customize a wordpress site the way you want, for FREE! Now if you were trying to change the theme or add some new code to a regular old HTML site, unless you know what you're doing, you're gonna have to hire a web developer to make the changes for you, and that can add up after awhile.

With both the free hosted and self hosted versions, you can choose from thousands of themes, to make your site look anyway you want. But if you really want to give your site that extra uniqueness, you can always dish out a few doubloons and buy a premium theme, or even have one made from scratch, like this blog has.

Now once your WP site looks amazing, you can start adding custom features with the help of plugins. There are plugins for practically any application you can think of, like importing flickr photos, pulling news feeds, adding tracking to your site, displaying your tweets, etc... Plugins allow you to really fine tune your site, to make it run exactly how you want. Now you can find 99% of the plugins you need for free, but there are some premium ones I highly recommend checking out.

Now don't think word press is just for blogs... You can even build full fledged sales funnels with them, like what I did with TTMP.

So hopefully this post gave you some insight on how you can turn out polished, fully SEO optimized websites in just a few hours time with WP, as opposed to grinding along writing all the code from scratch with those overpriced editors.

Alright, I don't normally do this, but I feel this is one of those rare occasions when it must be done.

I want you to check out this amazing article over at one of my favorite blogs Copyblogger, it's called "17 Easy Steps to Brilliant Blog Posts"

This is by far one of the best posts I've ever read for tips on writing blog posts, especially if you're having trouble with just blogging once a week!

Now after you've checked out this fantastic article, I want to go over one of the most important points...

"Who Are You Writing To?"

It's extremely important in any type of writing you do, whether it be articles, blog posts, copy-writing, etc... That you have an ideal prospect in mind that you want to entice. So for example, I write all my content with you in mind, YOU, being a person whose in internet marketing or a home business.

Now if this were a blog about cooking, my audience would lean more towards the house wife audience, or people who enjoy the culinary arts. You see where I'm getting at here?

When you write with your ideal prospect 'Target Market" in mind, all your writing will have a more personalized touch. Which means the reader will feel more connected with your writing, and will feel like your actually talking to them one on one.

And as you know, anytime someone starts getting emotionally connected in one way or another, the chances of them buying whatever it is you're marketing, goes through the roof.

So sit down, and take like half an hour and write out all the exact details of who your ideal person is...

Are they male or female? How old are they? Where do they live? What kind of lifestyle are they living? What problems are they facing in their life that you can relate to? etc...

Once you narrow this down to the exact person, your conversion rates will skyrocket!

Two SEO Marketing Basics That Any Newb Should Know

As you know there are literally hundreds of different ways to market online, from PPC, CPV, Media Buys, Social Media marketing, etc...

And out of all the them, SEO Marketing is by far my favorite of all time. For two reasons, 1.) It doesn't cost a dime to do and 2.) when you know what you're doing you can generate way more traffic than you ever could with PPC.

In fact, I've pretty much put a lot of my other campaigns on the back burner, and solely been focusing on Search Engine Optimization as my main source of traffic. And the results I've been getting have been phenomenal...Way better than I ever could have done with pay per click!

Now the whole reason I wanted to write this post, wasn't so much for the veteran internet marketers out there, but more so the new guy " Newbie", who is serious about making their business successful, but may not have the big marketing budget it takes to justify an adwords or media buys campaign.

I want to share with you the two basic stepping stones of what SEO marketing is all about. So don't expect some ultra secretive new method, that's suppose to change the game. I wanna go over just the basics, because without these, you've lost before you even started!

1.) Content Is King: This is sort of a no brainer, but if you want your site to rank high in the SERP's then you need to be adding relevant content all the time! So don't just build a site, add a few pages, and not update it for months, because you'll get absolutely no where! You need to be adding new content at least twice a every week. Hell I only update this blog three times a week, and I've got a PR3 for my site.

Now along with constantly adding new content, it needs to be unique and relevant. So don't start stealing peoples articles and blog posts, and posting them as your own. You need to write the content, and make it your own. Put your personality into it, so people know your style. Also make sure your staying relevant to what your site is about. Meaning if you have a blog about network marketing, don't write and article about how to cook a tuna fish casserole, or how to change the oil in your car. Stick to one subject per site, and not only will your visitors appreciate it, but Google will show you a lot of love.

2.) Backlinks Are Your Support: Now all the content in the world won't mean a thing without people actually finding it. If you want people to find your website, then you need to rank high in the SERP's and to do that, you need plenty of back links. You see when someone links to your site, Google sees that as vote for your site, and the more votes you get, the more love Google, Bing, and Yahoo will show you.

Now, one thing to really focus on, when YOU are the one building back-links, is that you want a link from a relevant site, that has a high PR, and that Do-Follows (meaning they pass their site's authority on to yours)

There you have it my friend, the two basics of seo marketing. Now is this all you need to know, to dominate the organic listings? Of course it's not, the rabbit hole goes way deeper than this, and we'll get into that later on. But like I said, I wanted to teach you the basics, so you know exactly what to focus on, to start a very successful campaign.

How To Identify Your Target Market

So what exactly is a Target Market and how do you find yours?

Well if you're like most people, when you first got started in your business, you probably thought everyone and their mum was interested in whatever it was you were marketing, right?

I know I'm guilty of this, Big Time! When I got started in MLM, I was trying to pitch my business to everyone! Friends, family, strangers...(almost got in a fight because of that, so not recommended)

And after all that struggle and heartache, sooner or later we all came to the sad realization that 95% of the people we talk to, honestly don't give a flying funk about what we have to offer.

Now this could be for many reasons, they don't see the potential of the opportunity, they think it's a scam, they don't like you, or maybe it's just not the right time for them...But more often than not, the Number 1 reason why they don't buy, is because you're talking to the wrong type of person!

It's almost like your trying to sell the best steak in the world, to a vegetarian...No matter what you do or say, they ain't buying.

So why keep trying to sell steak to the vegetarians, when you should focus on that 5% who are meat eaters? I mean it's common sense, when you focus on attracting only the buyers, you'll make more money, spend less time and money on marketing, and it will be 1000 times easier to close a sale!

So how do you find your target market?

1.) Identifying The Solution Your Product Offers: Meaning every product out there is a solution to a problem, so you need to find what solution your product offers. For example, if your marketing a juice that helps you lose weight, well then your target market would be people that exercise, are health conscious, and more often than not, go bonkers for anything organic. Boom!

2.) Research Your Competition: Remember that old saying "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer!" ? Well the same holds true for your business. Find the top 10 websites in your market, and dive into what type of traffic they're getting. To do this go to Quancast and research the exact demographics of your competitors traffic, this way you'll know exactly what type of person to go after.

There you have it, two very simple methods you can do right now, to identify your target audience. Now your ready to develop an awesome marketing strategy, lazer target your advertising, and start seeing the kind of ROI you only dreamed about.

Short Changed On Life

I was talking to a good friend of mine today, and like most people, she has a lot of problems in her life. I won't reveal the exact issues, but suffice to say shes not happy with where shes at in her life.

So I asked her "If you're not happy, then why don't you change whats making you upset? I mean If it doesn’t make you happy, or make you money…then let it go!, and move on"

And she said "I'm afraid of change, and not knowing whats going to happen."

And I thought to my self, is this why so many people are unhappy with their lives. They hate there job, where they live, the car they drive, the relationship they're in...but yet, if you present them with an opportunity to change things, they wimp out and come up with a bunch of B.S. excuses on why they can't...excuse me, Why They WON'T change...

I mean, when you really think about it, we're only here for the blink of a second, though it may seem like a long time to us. In the grand scheme of things, we really don't have much time to enjoy life.

So if were only given so little precious time to live, why do so many people waste the opportunity they were given? I mean how many people are actually in the career they want to be in? With their soul mates? Living where they want to live? Basically just doing the things they want to do...?

I can honestly say that very few could answer YES to any of those. If you're unhappy with where you're at in life, then it's time to re-evaluate your current situation. I mean really sit down and write out your true dreams and goals. Then look at where you're at currently, and if your current situation doesn't align with your dreams and goals, then it's time for a change.

Will it be easy? Of course not, but anything worth having is never easy to get. It takes a lot of hard work and determination to gain anything of real value.

Is it risky? Of course it is, it may require changing everything in your life, from the people you hang out with, to where you live. But realize that the rewards of success, FAR out way any risks involved.

It's as simple as that, it just comes down to, whether or not you want it bad enough...

Is Working From Home Killing Your Business…?

Well...Is it?

I mean when we first got started in our businesses, one of the main goals, was the dream of one day being able to work from home, right?

No more getting up at the crack of dawn, rushing to get ready for work, only to get stuck in an hour's worth of a traffic jam, then slowly and painfully trying to make the next 8 hours of a job you hate, go by as quickly as possible...

No, you saw the comfort of waking up when you feel like, and no more alarm clocks! Moseying out of bed to start your relaxing day, grabbing some breakfast, maybe go workout, and then throw the PJ's back on, and take the next couple hours to try and actually get some work done on your home business...Dream come true, right?

Well if your anything like me, going from working for some ass face boss, to being my own boss, and holding myself accountable for getting stuff done, was quite a transition...and not an easy one either.

You could say, that I sort of coasted by the first few weeks and was completely content, until... My business came to a screeching halt! My lead flow started dying off, sales started dropping off, and I was watching everything I worked so hard for, start to crumble before my very own eyes!

Well, luckily for me, I had the sense to see that my laziness, and dis-organization was the culprit, and I did a complete 180...

1.) I started holding my self accountable (for reals this time) and started treating my work at home business, like a real business.

2.) I set a schedule for my self, that if I didn't stick too, I would write my self up (sounds crazy I know, but trust me, physiologically, it's a very effective motivational boost).

3.) I made a very defined list of admin vs. productive work, which meant no answering e-mails or calls while I'm working on marketing, or building my business.

4.) And lastly, I made it very clear, that I wasn't to be disturbed when I'm in my office, and as soon as the headphones went on, I'm in the "Zone"

Now all these may sound like very basic ideas, or rules to follow, but trust me if you're really serious about the amount of money you can earn from home, whether it be a job, or a work from home business...You need to be very disciplined, and stick to a set of strict rules...

Otherwise, you'll see everything your worked so effing hard for, come crashing down...and you'll be wondering "What the hell just happened?"

To Paid Tweet, Or Not To Paid Tweet…?

That is the question...

Or at least everyone and their mum in the social media universe has been ranting and raving about the newly announced the Promoted Tweets advertising platform.

So is this a good thing? Is this the answer Twitter has been looking for to finally monetize their site, instead of working the internet corners asking for handouts "Will Tweet 4 Food"...

Or will this backfire horribly and eventually leave to the downfall of everyone's favorite lil blue birdie?

Well from reading Biz Stone's update on the Twitter Blog, what they have in store, actually looks very promising. The way the paid tweets system will work, is within their own search system. So it's very similar to how Adwords is utilized with Google searches, when a fellow twitter-er searches for a specific keyword, a sponsored tweet will show up in searches.

Now what does this mean for all of us marketers, and small business owners out there?

Well, you will now have access to a far larger audience on twitter than you ever imagined. So if you've been struggling for some time now, to build up a loyal and targeted following, then this may be the answer your looking for. And since the ads will be popping up based on a specific keyword, you will be tweeting at a very very targeted audience.

Unfortunately for right now, the Twitter Paid Tweets platform is only in phase one, and beta testing with larger accounts such as Starbucks. The bright side is that the bigger accounts will be spending their own money to work out the system bugs, which mean come time to open the advertising system to the public, you will have one of the most targeted and cost effective social advertising platforms on the web.

Now don't get the wrong idea and think shoot yourself in the foot by making the promoted tweets your sole form of marketing. This will never replace the awesome power of PPC, SEO, or Media Buys...but what it will do, is add one more kickass gun to your marketing arsenal...

It Twas Information Overload That Killed The Business, My Dear Watson...

So if you stumbled upon this blog post, then I hope it's for one of two reasons:

1.) Your a fellow mystery fanatic, and love the whimsical tales of Mr Sherlock Holmes (50 points for you)

2.) Your business has come to a crashing halt, because your mind has literally hit the wall aka "Information Overload" (no points for you)

Now don't get me wrong I could talk all day about the amazing adventures of Mr. Holmes, but that's a conversation for another day my friend. What I wanna talk about right now, is one of the main reasons a lot of home businesses end up failing miserably, and adding to that horrific 97% failure rate.

So what exactly is "Information Overload!"?

(It would add to the dramatic effect, if you read that in a over dramatized voice, like "Attack of the Giant Ants!', Got it?)

An overload of information, is basically where your eyes are bigger than your mind... Meaning you try to absorb every single morsel, and golden nugget of useful knowledge on a number of subjects all at the same time! Now don't get me wrong, knowledge is power, but when you try to feed your brain more than it can handle...Well it's on the same level as you trying to find the end to the all you can eat buffet...

I will spare you the graphic detail, but just know that it's no bueano my friend.

So you can see how why too much information at once is a huge problem. And yes, I know there are a lot of contributing factors to this growing epidemic. I mean it seems like 10 new "Guru's" are popping up every week, trying to pitch their ultra, mega, super duper, guaranteed to work secret marketing tactics in some WAY overpriced ebook / training course...And just like you, I have fallen victim to this crap time and time again, only to discover it's the same rehashed crap from 2008, and 2009, just with a 2010 cover.

So what is one to do, to sort out the valuable info from the rest of the shizer out there, all while managing to avoid information overload...?

Well I can recommend a few things.

1.) Stick with one subject at a time. Master it, and them move onto the next... There is no point in trying to learn, Media Buying, PPC, SEO, and Social Media all at the same time, you'll lose money, get no where, and absolutely hate life!

2.) Pick one to two experts to learn from at a time / subject. A lot of these so called "Guru's" are only hyping them selves up based on their fake twitter following. Look for the legit guys like Mike Dillard, Frank Kern, or even Yanik Silver.

And alas, I have one more recommendation, that will not only save you a lot of time, and money, but also a lot of heart ache as well. If you really want to stay on track, and focused on what is working now!, and not rehashed, out of date crap from two years ago...

How Adam Carolla Changed My Life...

Alright, I want to share with you one of the best pieces of advice I have ever received, that literally changed my life!

As you well know, having a mentor / mentors for different aspects of you life, is crucial to becoming successful. Well it just so happens that one of the few people i look up to, and admire is Adam Carolla.

And yes, I know what your thinking Adam Carolla? Isn't he that guy from the Man Show? Yes he and Jimmy Kimmel were the hosts of the Man Show, which was one of the funniest TV shows back in the day...but that's besides the point!

Now you maybe wondering why I look up to someone like Adam, who basically made a career off of making fun of women and fart jokes...

Well if you've ever had a chance to catch one one his podcasts, then you know there is a lot more behind his uni-brow than meets the eye. He is one of those genuine rags to riches stories that you love to hear about. He had a rough childhood, worked in construction for years barely getting by, and he worked and honed his talents as a comedian for years, paying his dues, until he finally had his big break into show business.

Now the reason the Ace man is one of my mentors, is because he has some of the best advice on living a successful life I have ever heard. And what makes it even better, is he's not trying to cram it all into some shitty e-book, or training course, like most of these so called "Life Coaches" are. No he offers his wisdom free of charge.

And out of all the advice I've ever took in over the years, there is one piece that I got from Adam, that changed it all for me...

"If it doesn't make you happy, or make you money...then let it go!"

Let that sink in for a moment...

I mean rally think about all the stupid crap that goes on in our everyday lives, that holds us back. Whether it be a petty argument with a friend or family member, someone cutting in-line at the movie theater, stuck in a traffic jam, etc...

All these little things we let interfere with our own consciousness on a daily basis , that cause unbalance in the other parts of out lives, such as your business...I'm just as guilty about that, I've let stupid lil nothings affect me enough to where i can't give the 110% i need to, into my business, and as a result, my business stops growing!

And once your business stops growing, that's when you know the shit has just hit the fan...

But ever since I started incorporating "If it doesn't make you happy, or make you money...then let it go!" into my daily life, I've noticed a huge change. I don't let the lil things affect me anymore, I don't say things in the midst of a pointless argument that I will later regret...I only focus on what makes me happy, and whats going to make me money, because the more money I make, the more freedom and opportunity I have to accomplish amazing things in my life.

I hope you incorporate this advice into you daily life as well, and hopefully it will work wonders for you as well...

3.) 3 foot rule, becuase who doesn't love being bombarded by a complete stranger at the mall, with their crappy biz pitch...?

4.) Bring anyone with a pulse to a hotel meeting, when they only really came, so you'd finally STFU about your biz opp.

By now, I'm sure you figured out that I like to be upfront about everything...

So let me just be blunt with you now, none of these techniques are even close to being part of a "System". All these are, are just the same outdated rehashed crap that sponsors tell their new downline to do, so they'll stop bugging them. I mean really think about it, when is the last time you saw the top income earner in your company, going up to random people at a mall, and handing out their business cards?

They don't, and you know why? Because they know that those outdated techniques don't work, and are just complete crap.

I should know, I've done this many of times.

But what if this year was different...What if this year, you made a resolution that truly means something to you. What if this year you made that one resolution that you actually did. How would your life be the better for it?

So here's my challenge to YOU, I want you to Really think about something you want to achieve in this coming year. Something that's out of reach now, but with some effort put into it, you could easily achieve.

Maybe it's to make more money? Be able to quit your job and spend more time with Family? Maybe it's even taking your family on a vacation to Disney Land. Whatever it is, make this the year that you accomplish that resolution. Make this the year that changes the rest of your life. This year, make it count...

I Am Google, Hear Me Roar!!!

Hey Guys,

I know the subject line is a bit extreme, but I went extreme, to catch your attention. I really wanted you to read this post, because it could mean the difference between life and death for your business.

And I honestly mean every word of that...

I'm sure by now, your fully aware of this whole fiasco, about the FTC suing Google over all these "Biz Opp's", right?

If not, I'll give you a quick overview.

If you've been in the "Home Biz" industry for awhile now, you've probably noticed a common trend among most "Opportunities"

99% of the "Biz Opportunities" out there, are just fucking scams.

Now, I won't name drop any companies, because I always vowed never to sink to that low of a level, but I'm pretty sure we both could name at least 10 of the same shitty companies.

And your probably also aware, that were currently in a world recession. I'm not saying money is sparse, it's more so that people are afraid to spend what money they have...

But, just like you, a lot of people have come to realise that, having their income rely fully on a paycheck from an insecure job, is not the best route to go. Now more than ever are people wanting to become their own boss, start their own business, and live life by there terms

(same reasons both of us got started in our own biz, right?)

Well, unfortunately, because 99% of the shitty companies out there are scams, they're the ones earning the majority of these peoples business, without ever following through with helping these people start a real business.

(Which is why are industry has such a bad rap, to begin with)

And how are these bastards capturing most of their business???

By advertising on Google through PPC, or through natural SEO. And sometimes even with Bing and Yahoo as well.

So let's do a lil math for a second, and see what the result of this combination is...

Scam companies + Stealing people's entrepreneurial dreams = FTC stepping in, and suing Google

And just like at a day job, when your boss gets bitched at for whatever mistake happened at the company, guess who the shit storm is rolling to next???

That's right...YOU!!!

So now Google, (Even Bing and Yahoo), are now stepping up to clean house. And all I can say is, they're are doing a hell of a job.

Thousands, if not 10's of thousands of advertiser PPC accounts have been Slapped, Suspended, or even worse, black listed!!! And once your black listed you might as well kiss you Internet marketing dreams goodbye...

And thats about the jist of it, So now that were up to speed, lets get into the nitty gritty of this post.

Now you can look at this"House Cleaning" in two different ways.

1.) You may feel like your going up shit creek, without paddle, and all hopes of making money online are now over... (If that's how you feel, than you truly are a pussy, and will never be successful in any business.)

OR

2.) You can look at this as the opportunity of a life time ( I'm talking about back in 2004, when SEM, SEO, and PPC, were as easy as a chick who just broke up with her Boyfriend and came running to you for comfort... ;})

Just think of how many of your competitors, just got shut down and are gonna give up on internet marketing because of this? It's an open playing field for you, and as long as you play by the new rules, you'll reap the rewards for a lifetime.

So with that being said I've laid out some ground rules for you guys to follow. Now, I'm not saying these are set in stone, but they will be helpful guidelines to get you compliant with the big G, B, and Y. (Add an O and N in there and you got OBGYN. Sorry rust thought it was funny)

1.) No replicated sites. You must have a unique landing page and sales letter. (This means no more buying into a replicated system with pre built sites, and ads. Thats out the window for good.)

2.) Your site must be easy to use. (So I'm guessing the route to go here is start using a blog with a landing page, that has clear navigation.)

3.) No pop-ups (I think this counts for exit pop-ups as well)

4.) No FLOGS (The FTC is cracking down hard on all those Flogs for the acai offer's, so I'd imagine it would be the same for any other flog you build, regardless of the market.)

5.) No income claims, not even implied income claims.

(So for ex.
-Make $20 Grand this month!
-Possible CEO level income
-Make more than your doctor
-etc...)

6.) No guarantee for success (Thats a no brainier)

7.) Your website cannot look like a biz opp (So that means you need to sell people on YOU and your story, not the opportunity.)

And like I said these aren't set in stone, but these are what I've heard come down from the grapevine.

The overall lesson to learn here guys is to just use common sense. Theres no point in trying to cheat the system just to make a quick buck, and then get suspended or blacklisted.

And realize that Google is really not trying to FUCK us marketers, they're trying to protect the consumer from scams. So as Internet marketer's, it's our responsibility to make sure were being as ethical and honest as possible, from here on out.

So be safe out there, make some money,and most importantly...Have Fun.

I'm sure by now you heard of this site, I mean the twitter network is one of the top social communities on the web right now. They grew 600% in just a years time, and it's still only just a cute little baby bird trying to discover it's business plan.

So are you currently using Twitter?

Well first your going to want to search twitter for these Tweeps, using http://search.twitter.com/ It's essentially a solo search engine that just searches twitter updates from all walks of life.

Well, my lovely lil reader, this section is done, but thankfully there's one more to fill you up, and Trust ME when I say:

OK, so now that you got to know Twitter, how to market and streamline, it's time for a Twitter warning about “The Darker Side of Twitter”, and it can be vicious.

So Twitter is almost like someone you met at the bar. You saw them from across the room checked em'out (Vid#1). You start the small talk, a little flirting, eventually building up a rapport, hoping to take them home for some hot and heavy sex (Vid# 2.1/2.2) Then you start buying them drinks, to get them smashed and increase your chances of getting lucky (Vid #3)

But, after all your A-game spittin, $100 worth of drinks, and hard work, you start to notice a couple things,

This person drinks like a fish and they're not even buzzed. And they turn out to be one of those people who knows they're good looking enough to get free drinks, but has no intention of EVER hooking up with you.

ARRRGGGHHH!!!!

And after all your hard work, just to wind up frustrated, broke, and left alone to do your own private “Happy-Ending”. WTF...

Well, this is essentially what Twitter can due to your Twitter productivity if your not careful. It's known as the ”Twitter Effect”

Twitter can be very addictive, and you can end up wasting a lot of time if you don't know how to “Grab Twitter By The Wings”.

I've discovered a couple of techniques that can help tame this Twitter beast, and help you not only see results, but a huge increase in your productivity.

OK, first things first you want to set a strict Twitter scheduler and stick to it. For your Twitter schedule:

Only go on Twitter 2 – 3 times a day max.

Never spend more than 25 minutes at at time on Twitter

Only go on to Twitter with a specific Twitter purpose (To add new followers, Tweet content, reply to your Tweeps, etc...)

Following these three steps, will ensure that you give yourself just enough time to be productive, and not slack off.

Secondly, and most importantly (For any type of marketing) You need to Test/Track/Tweak everything you do on twitter.

Test out different ways of posting Tweets (Yelling, Questions, to even just describing your perfect Sunday, etc...)

Track what Tweets are getting the most love and being spread virally like an STD

Tweak whats working, and make that Shit better, son...

My Answers To James Lipton’s Ten Questions

Hey guys,

I know everyone and their mum, is doing that "20 random things about me" questionnaire. I was going to do it, but then I realized I had better things to do. But, there was still that nagging feeling, that I felt like I should do something similar.

Well, as you all know I'm an actor, and there just so happens to be a set of questions I've always dreamed of answering. If you've ever watched the "Bravo" channel before, than more than likely, you've seen the show "Inside The Actors Studio".

The show is hosted by the great James Lipton. He interviews movie stars of all kinds, about they're work in movies, TV, etc... Well at the end of each show he always asks the guest 10 questions. The questions were originated by French television personality Bernard Pivot.

I always thought how badass, it would be to be up on that stage, going over my acting credits, and giving inspiration to future up and coming actors. Well, slowly but surely I'm building my acting resume, but I'm still a ways a way from being up on that stage. So I figured what the hell, I know what the questions are, so why not just answer them right now.

I guess it will be good practice, for when I am up on that stage. So with out further adieu here are my answers to those 10 questions.

1. What is your favorite word?

Discombobulated. It means to confuse or disconcert; upset; frustrate. I just love the way it sounds.

2. What is your least favorite word?

Failure. I know sometimes it's ok to look at failure, as if your failing forward. But, I just hate the sound of it. It sounds like a kick to the stomach. Ugh, it's just a disgusting word.

3. What turns you on?

Confidence. I love feeling confident, and being around others that are confident as well. Not cocky to where you have to brag about it. I'm talking about just being confident, to where it just exudes from your being.

4. What turns you off?

Whining. I can't stand people who whine, nag, complain. Especially people, who don't have a sense of humor and that can't take a joke. It's like grow the fuck up, and quit assuming everything is a personal attack on you. I just want to slap people that live their life like that.

5. What is your favorite curse word?

FUCK. I love just saying fuck, it's so universal, and yet still so powerful. I mean, when I'm upset and I just drop the "FUCK" bomb, all my frustration is instantly released, I love it.

6. What sound or noise do you love?

Laughter. I love hearing someones laughter. It's just so calming, soothing and absolutely contagious. Especially, when I'm the one who caused their laughter, it's the best feeling in the world.

7. What sound or noise do you hate?

Nails on a chalk board. It makes me cringe, and want to claw my skin off. It actually sends shivers down my spine

8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?

Talk Radio Host. I can't stand all this top 40 crap music stations, Talk radio is all I listen to. I like it so much, because you build a personal relationship with the talk host. You listen to them everyday, and it's almost like they become your best friend. I would love to be able to have my own show, and talk about my perspectives on life.

9. What profession would you not like to attempt?

Fluffer. I would hate to be a fluffer. If you don't know what a fluffer is, just google it. (It's explicit)

10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?

3 Reasons Why I Started Blogging...

Hey Guys…

Well here it is, My First Post. Popping my blogger's cherry per say...

I'm excited to start blogging, because it was one of the goals I set for myself for 2009.

Please take into consideration that I won't always be "proper", my grammar won't always be right and my spelling won't always be correct...But who cares, because I'm not perfect!

So let's get in to the meat and potatoes...

If you want to know a little bit more about me, feel free to read the "About Me" section, in the navigation bar up above.

So why did I decide to pick up blogging?

Well, there are a few reasons why:

1.) My goal of '09 is to expand my business/brand. So I figured that one of the best ways of doing that is to start up my own blog.

If you've been to any of my social network sites, you'll notice that they all have the same theme...It's all about building familiarity with your brand.

2.) I test a lot of new marketing strategies, some work and others don't. I wanted to provide an online "notebook" of notes on my experiments. Hopefully, my research can save you from the frustration of trying marketing that doesn't work.

3.) I wanted to build one more connection for YOU to keep in contact with me, for whatever reason. Maybe you have a question about marketing, a comment on my post, or maybe you want to kick it on Xbox live for some gaming action. Whatever floats your boat...

Like a lot of the other top marketers out there, I will be starting up my own weekly "TV show". You'll get to see me live and will be able to ask me anything your little heart desires. I'm still scheduling a good time slot for the show, so stay tuned for further updates.

I have been involved in the network marketing industry for over 3 years now, and I have experienced more than my fair share of learning curves along the way, but as some of the greatest leaders would say the only way to truly succeed is to: Never quit and learn from your mistakes. Trust me there is absolutely no way to achieve any amount of success, if you don't mess up along the way, it happens to everyone, but what matters is that you pick yourself up and learn from it... Thankfully, I learned from my mistakes and picked up a few golden nuggets along the way. One of the things that I have learned is that, with any type of successful business, there are 5 essential building blocks in place. They all have some kind of Coaching/Support, A proven system, Good Marketing, Leadership, and Accountability/Laser focus on their goals. Now these might not seem like much separately, but when all 5 are combined, you have a kick ass arsenal that can help you overcome any roadblock you might encounter. Now I'm sure some of you might have a few of these working for you right now, but how many of you have all 5? How many of you have none of these? (Go ahead raise your hand, no one is gonna see...) Now don't worry baby birds I'm gonna feed you the info you need, so you can make sure you have all 5 of these incorporated in your own business. I'm going to go over each one in their own separate blog, because I want to go in depth with their importance (Plus, I don't want it to look like I just wrote a novel after I'm done) Lets get started shall we...

1.) Coaching/Support:

This is super important for all, but especially the loan rangers in the home based business industry. The reason I say that is, because chances are if your building a home based business...your probably building it by yourself...But Why? IF your anything like I use to be, than your ego might get the best of you and you were unwilling to get the help you need, because if it's gonna be done right than I'm the only one who can do it, right?...WRONG!!! Truth is every single leader in every industry has coaching from a mentor/trainer and a running mate/team of support...Don't believe me?..>Do you think the President of the United States makes all the decisions on his own, sets his own schedule, writes his own speeches, etc... Absolutely not...He surrounds himself with the best experts for everything like, war strategies, speech writers, economists, etc...and he has a running mate as well...The Vice President...Need more proof? You think Kobe Bryant, David Beckam or any other great athlete got to where they are today on their own...? No they had coaches, trainers, and their teams for a support system, to constantly guide them on their paths to glory. It is absolutely essential that you find someone in your industry that has the results that your looking to achieve and do exactly what they are doing, For example I have mentors in different parts of my life, Jay Kubassek Is my mentor and business partner in my main business. I follow after everything he teaches: from the training - to the books he recommends...Why?, because he has the results that I'm looking to achieve, so I do exactly what he does. and what do you know, I'm getting closer and closer to my goals every day, but it's not all do to just what I learn from Jay, I also have a team of support and a couple of people that i have picked for running mates for my journey.

It's important to have that consistent support of people that will help you along your journey for whatever your trying to achieve. Why? Let me ask you this...How many times have you had just an effing awful day? You had to wake up at the crack of dawn to begin your hellacious morning routine to get ready to go to your stupid JOB that you hate, After getting ready to go, maybe grabbing a quick bite to eat, and running out the door with your 1st of 8 cups of coffee to get you through the day, you have to drive to work in the oh so relaxing morning rush hour where I swear half the people don't know how to drive, because some ass just cut in front of you and you had to slam on your brakes right as you were about to enjoy your first sip of coffee, and "BAM" it spills all over your clothes ( What the F**K) after that fiasco, your lucky to find a parking spot with in a 10 block radius of your office. Of course the usual office politics ensue, your boss is on your ass to finish those reports by 5, you put up with your neighbors obnoxiously loud typing, and millions of other little things that annoy you through out the day, then finally you get home exhausted, you prepare a quick dinner, but you lose your appetite, because you can't stop staring at all those lovely greetings from the banks that want their money by the end of the week, then you have to finally muster enough energy to start working on your business, you know checking your e-mail, but of course only the spammers love ya enough to send you some free gift cards and viruses, then you find that your advertising is not producing jack Sh** and you have pretty much spent your monthly marketing budget within the first week, And too top it all off, the leads you did generate You go ahead and give them a call, and of course your overjoyed to get a wrong number, pissed off people who just had a similar day and of course people who absolutely would not want to join your business even if you paid them...Now don't you just want to rip you hair out and scream I f**kin quit!!! and then you get sick to your stomach knowing that just like The Groundhog day movie, it's all gonna be the same crap again tomorrow...

For some people this happens everyday and whats even worse is that they do quit and they go on working their crappy job and staying unhappy...,but what if that same day occurred, but right before you got so frustrated to quit, you had someone to call, or e-mail, even IM...telling them about whats going on and venting, and they are their to actually listen and help talk you through it and re-assure you that tomorrow is another day...Wouldn't that make all th3 difference in the world to have that kid of support or a running mate that you could bounce back marketing ideas with and come up with new ways to attract prospects...Would that be beneficial to you? ABSOLUTELY, for some just hearing or reading one positive thing from someone that supports their cause can make all the difference in the world and can even completely change the outlook of the rest of their day. Trust me, having a coach and a support system is absolutely essential to your success, in your business and even in your life, no matter what your doing.... No one does it on their own. As the three Musketeers would say "All For One, And One For All..."
